If conventional wisdom has fallen short of providing you with real solutions to your health challenges, you’ve come to the right place! Specializing in biohacks to manage the symptoms of Lyme, auto-immune, and other chronic inflammatory diseases.
Hi, I’m Patty! I was an overweight woman struggling with auto-immune thyroid disease who, like many other frustrated dieters, got fed up after trying so many things that just didn’t work. After years of study and ultimate success my passion is to now help others lead happier, healthier, fitter lives.
Patty Baiano, founded BodyFit Coaching as a result of her own personal journey through auto-immune, Lyme disease, chronic illness and constant frustration with main-stream medicine and big pharma–institutions who were not providing answers or solutions for reclaiming her health.
Quite literally–over a cup of Bulletproof® Coffee, an introduction to Dave Asprey, and the science of Bio-hacking–a new path to wellness was revealed. New doors opened and health improvements were soon to follow.
Excited to evangelize her newfound knowledge of bio-hacking and to help others live better lives, Baiano realized that there weren’t many resources available on bio-hacking. Specifically, sources which were by women, for women thus the concept for this community was born.
The female body and brain chemistry are a unique entity unto themselves. While there is much to learn from our pioneering male counterparts, we need to engage in our own conversations.
Women need to share our own best tools and experiences, and support each other along this uncharted path on a new journey to optimal wellness.
The goal of this website and our Bulletproof Coaching and HCG Diet Coaching Programs are just that, information with conversation. Through this ongoing dialog we strive to build a community that includes total newbies to master bio-hackers and even encourage male participation as well!

Biohacking is a new term used to describe the art and science of maximizing your biological potential
Biohacking is the process of using science, biology, and self-experimentation to take control of and upgrade your body, mind, and life. To do this effectively requires knowledge, technology, and a willingness to intelligently self-experiment. The mission of this site and our coaching programs are to help transcend what you once thought were the limits of your health, happiness and performance.
Biohacking rejects the idea that the best and only approach to getting healthier and avoiding disease is to eat less and exercise more. It’s not as simple as ‘calories in, calories out.’ What you put in your body is every bit as important as how much.
While popular mainstream diets like keto and paleo are common among biohackers, the philosophy of the movement acknowledges that what works for one person may not work for everyone and that’s why a customized coaching approach works best.
Biohacking sounds like something out of a Terminator movie, is it real or just hype?
Biohacking is not science fiction, voodoo, and not even necessarily technical. Simply put, Biohacking is the art and science of changing the environment around you and inside you so you have more control over your own biology (although we can at times look a little silly wearing blue light filtering amber glasses at night, anyone who’s tried this hack can attest that their sleep quality is 100 times better when they filter blue light at sunset.)
What are some examples of Biohacking?
Think of it this way, if you ever have taken an aspirin for a headache or put ice on your body to reduce swelling, in essence, you already been biohacking.
While most biohacks are admittedly more technical than a bag of ice, we will provide you with access to knowledge, resources, and tools that you never knew existed.
To elaborate, I have the most rewarding job of helping people overcome physical obstacles to retain, or regain, their autonomy. I also spend my time as a health writer and consumer advocate and a certified Bulletproof Upgraded Human Potential Coach through the prestigious program founded by the father of Biohacking, Dave Asprey. Along with the best job of all, being a Mom and role model to my beautiful 17-year old daughter, Ariel.
I’ve struggled with health and digestive issues for most of my life. At age twenty-two I was diagnosed with autoimmune Hashimoto’s Hypothyroidism and Grave’s Disease. Since then—just like most of you—I’ve spent the better part of my life struggling with low energy and weight loss challenges.
During that time, I tried everything to get “in shape”, having gone through my share of crash diets, starvation, exercise addiction, eating disorders and a myriad of other forms of self-abuse in the name of a common goal of losing weight. Nothing worked, I felt completely broken.

But then something unexpected happened, I ran into a friend whom I hadn’t seen in a while and mistook her for her daughter (yes, she lost a jaw dropping amount of weight and actually looked 20 years younger than the last time I’d seen her). She explained that she achieved this miraculous transformation through the HCG Diet.
My expectations of similar results for myself were slim (no pun intended). However, to my astonishment, I lost 35 pounds and kept it off for five years. I went down 12 dress sizes and felt fuller of life and energy than I could ever remember.
I thought I had finally found the Holy Grail, and, in my way of sharing health insights with others, founded my first internet business BodyFit Superstore, and have since helped thousands of other people lose weight as well.
But as fate would have it, life wasn’t done teaching me the precarious nature of being healthy, balanced, and full of life as of yet. And, as I got older, I realized that my reflection in the mirror and the size jeans I fit into were just a scant part of that equation.
The Turning Point
About two years ago (2015) I started noticing a drop in what I’ll call, my ‘Wellness Meter.’ The changes were barely noticeable at first, minor changes, nuances like taking longer to bounce back from staying up too late or stomach issues that I haven’t experienced in years.
But the minor changes started becoming more noticeable and I started developing a “lump of fat” in my stomach. That was followed by a stabbing pain under my right ribs every time I inhaled sharply.
The doctors were baffled because my blood work was great. My cholesterol was optimal, my thyroid levels were optimal with the medication I was taking, my liver enzymes were normal, in fact…everything was normal.
Time crept on, and the needle on my Wellness Meter began taking a nosedive. By this time, I was seriously starting to feel like crap and needed 12-14 hours of sleep most days just to function. I finally insisted that my doctor order a stomach ultrasound of the suspicious lump of fat in my abdomen. Sure enough, the results showed that my liver and spleen were enlarged.

He did an infectious disease blood test and was shocked to find that I tested positive for Lyme’s Disease along with two strains of Epstein Barre, and Cytomegalovirus as an added bonus.
My doctor told me that if I walked out and told another doctor that I had all four of those active viruses they wouldn’t believe me. He said he couldn’t believe that I was able to even get out of bed (No shit, Sherlock! I’ve been trying to tell you that for almost a year!)
You see, having low thyroid since the age of 22, my Wellness Meter is calibrated differently than most other people. What would feel like simply a “low energy” day for me would have most people home sick from work. I’ve learned to push through it because feeling less than par was normal for me.
Let’s backup a second so I can tell you how I contracted the Lyme’s. I was stupefied because I had no recollection of being bitten by a tick or having the telltale “bullseye rash.” “You don’t need to get it from a tick”, my doctor said, “can you remember any other bug bites?” Well, yes, I could… (stay with me here because I can’t make this shit up.)
About three months before my health started sliding, I went to a friend’s house for a bar-b-que, as I sat on a piece of outdoor lawn furniture I got bit on my derriere by a spider. (Not just any old spider, this monster was like Sheilb from Lord of the Rings!)
It immediately stood out in my memory because I had such a nasty reaction to that bite. It swelled, burned, and took almost a month to heal. (In retrospect I should have gone straight to the doctor for a shot of antibiotics. But who would have ever imagined that that single bite would change my life forever, sending me on a downward health spiral, the likes of which you can’t even imagine.)
As a result of the infections, I took powerful antibiotics and anti-viral medications for a month. As you can imagine, that completely obliterated my gut biomes which further depleted my immune system and ability to fight these diseases. My Wellness Meter was now pinned in the red danger zone.
It was at that time I made it my mission, my second job, to get well. So, for the next 6 months, for 2-4 four hours a day, 7 days a week, I did everything in my knowledge base to beat this. I started an elimination diet, cutting out anything that could be reactive (gluten, dairy, nightshades). I also did acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments, massage, meditating, Pilates, ionic foot baths, and even Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy four times a week.

My Darkest Hour
At that point I did what any desperate person looking for escape from misery would do—started having a few cocktails at night. At least when I was “buzzed” I’d have some relief from the symptoms of feeling “sick”. And thus, the downward spiral ensued.
I was doing everything right from a diet and wellness living perspective, but nothing was making a difference. I just kept getting sicker and fatter. Everything I put in my mouth caused a reaction; the inflammation just kept escalating.
I felt helpless and depressed and thought I would never feel better again. Then, after traveling hours from home to see countless specialists and enduring endless blood tests, my doctor discovered that I had a genetic immune deficiency.
Apparently, I managed to make it this far in my life without this deficiency presenting itself because I compensated with a healthy lifestyle. I ate a proper diet, mostly organic foods, avoiding GMO’s, exercising, and basically practicing everything I preach.
But that one spider bite changed my entire life.
I still have a hard time wrapping my head around that, but ruminating about it won’t change anything. So, it’s time to move on.
Radical Medical Treatments
Patty’s First Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIg) Therapy.
My doctor then prescribed IV/IG therapy. I was ecstatic at the prospect of a cure, however I needed to fail a test to get the $30,000 a month treatment approved by my insurance company. It required a pneumonia vaccine and a month of waiting to see how my body responded. The thought of spending another month the way I was feeling made me feel suicidal.
By this time, I was willing to try anything to get well, and it was then that I started researching some unconventional therapies. This was when I was first introduced to the world of biohacking.
At this point, the inflammation and illness caused me to gain back about 30 of the victorious pounds I worked so hard to lose. The weight piled on in less than a year, with no dietary or activity changes. I could barely stay awake long enough to do what I love, teaching Pilates. Worse, I had zero energy to be a great Mom and friend to the most precious thing in my life, my daughter Ariel.
Adding to this agony, I actually felt ashamed of myself. I own a Pilates studio, I’m a Master Teacher and health writer yet I felt so exhausted, sick, and fat all the time. I thought, “who would ever come to me to become healthy and fit when I couldn’t even be healthy and fit myself”?
A Glimmer of Hope
Then, some light presented itself at the end of this long and dark tunnel, and I discovered the Bulletproof Radio Blog. Since I had nothing to lose I started drinking Bulletproof coffee for breakfast, following the Bulletproof diet, and there my studies began.
Resonating with the knowledge and seeing the positive changes on my health, I enrolled in the Bulletproof Coaching program and spent a year earning my certification as a Bulletproof Upgraded Human Potential Coach. It changed my life and gave me the resources to heal myself completely.
Patty & the Father of Biohacking, Dave Asprey (2017)
Since then, I’ve lost the 40 pounds, my bloodwork is better than most people half my age, and after examination by a renown plastic surgeon, was given a ‘physical appearance’ age evaluation of 20 years younger than my biological age!
So, here I am on this journey to share the knowledge I’ve gained through my own personal experiences. Understanding this work is a “practice”, so I am constantly learning–sometimes by trial and error.
But, with each setback I got back up and kept moving forward. I have conquered the Lyme disease, thyroid, auto-immune, and inflammation. I’ve reclaimed my health & vitality, and fit back into my “skinny jeans” again and now have the energy and motivation to live an active happy life.
I am humbled by this ride and excited to share the information with other people that helped me get to this point.
So please subscribe to my website and forge the path with me. I’ll keep you updated on my processing of conquering Lyme Disease and share my personal experience with biohacking, alternative and integrative medicine therapies.
Best of Luck and Support on Your Journey to Vibrant Life!
Patty discovered the term “biohacking” through her extensive research into non-traditional cures to relieve the symptoms of Lyme’s Disease. Since no doctor or mainstream medical treatment was helping relieve her symptoms, she knew that she had to take matters into her own hands. Baiano stumbled upon Dave Asprey’s “Bulletproof” Diet and lifestyle program and began her experimentation with many of its aspects and the needle on the Wellness Meter finally started to move in the right direction again.
Realizing that while books, videos, and podcasts were a great introduction into biohacking, she knew she needed personal training to specifically target her complex health issues. Baiano then started training with the Bulletproof Institute–a 12 month program to upgrade body, mind and spirit.
Now a Certified Bulletproof® Upgraded Human Potential Coach, Ms. Baiano is passionate about motivating people to take charge of their own health and wellness by focusing on biohacking for women in a man’s world.
